Every website project starts with the same foundation work
Most websites begin the same way: a blank piece of paper, a set of good intentions, and a backlog of decisions that need to be made before anything useful can be built.
SEO structure. Performance configuration. Accessibility groundwork. Content modelling. Reusable components. Editor experience. These aren't optional extras — they're the foundation every serious website needs. And on most projects, they're either rushed, deferred, or handled inconsistently because the budget is already being spent on the visible work.
The result is technical debt that was avoidable from day one.
This platform is how I solve that
Instead of rebuilding the same foundation on every project, I built it once — properly, without budget pressure or deadline constraints. Core architecture decisions are made and consistent. Performance, SEO, and accessibility are part of the system. The editor experience is considered. The patterns are defined.
You start from something that already works, and spend the project budget on what's actually specific to your client.
This website is built on it, with minimal modification.
Built differently, on purpose
Most templates try to be everything for everyone.
This doesn’t.
Built from real projects
This platform is based on experiences from real client work. It brings together 15 years of experience building websites that need to perform well in production, be easy for editors to manage, and give developers a solid foundation to build on.
Opinionated where it matters
Instead of leaving every decision open, key patterns are already defined. This reduces inconsistency and avoids the usual “figure it out later” approach.
Focused on structure, not just visuals
Many templates prioritize appearance. This focuses on what sits underneath: architecture, performance, and long-term maintainability.
Designed for all stakeholders
Clean, logical structure for developers to build on. A stable, scalable platform for companies investing in something long-term. Easy for writers to create content with.
Who is it for?
The platform is built for businesses, agencies and developers who want a strong foundation for their Umbraco projects.
Whether you are launching a new website, rebuilding an existing one, or looking for a more structured way to deliver future projects, the platform is designed with the highest quality and best practices in mind, which will save you time, reduce avoidable mistakes and provide a better foundation from day one.
For agencies
For agencies that want to accelerate delivery, improve consistency and start from a platform shaped by real project experience. It provides a solid base while still leaving room for customization and client-specific requirements.
For businesses
Companies that want a high-quality digital foundation for growth, with a good structure and high performance. This platform is built against WCAG 2.2 AA principles, giving companies a strong accessibility foundation from the start. It also has a well-thought-out SEO structure and makes life easier for companies with high quality demands.
For developers
The platform offers good backend architecture, SEO, and WCAG compliance, while remaining flexible enough for custom development. AI can help produce code, but it is not a substitute for senior assessment, experience, architecture, and testing.
Not ideal for: If you are looking for a finished, one-off template, after which no attention will be given to the solution again for years to come, there are better options out there. The more control you want over your project, the stronger the fit.
What you get
You get a license for a production-ready Umbraco platform built to give you a strong foundation from day one.
It combines content management, performance, SEO, accessibility, and reusable components into one structured foundation.
This website - KindbergCo.se - uses this platform with minimal modifications.
Key features included
The platform is built on Umbraco, giving editors a flexible content management experience and developers a clean foundation to extend. It is designed for websites where content, structure, performance, and long-term maintainability all matter.
Pages and blocks are structured to make content editing practical and consistent. Editors can build rich pages using reusable components without needing technical knowledge for every change.
The platform includes important SEO foundations such as editable page titles and descriptions, sitemap support, canonical URLs, structured data options, and social sharing metadata.
Performance has been considered from the start, with clean frontend output, optimized assets, caching, and a structure designed to avoid unnecessary bloat.
The interface is built with accessibility principles in mind (WCAG 2.2), including semantic markup, keyboard navigation, visible focus states, skip links, accessible forms, and editor-friendly accessibility defaults.
Try navigating the page without a mouse (use the tab, arrow & enter keys) or download a screen reader and turn off the screen.
The platform includes a broad set of reusable blocks and page types, making it easier to build flexible layouts without creating every component from scratch.
In addition, there is a global block, which creates a block or section on the website and can then be used over and over again. The advantage is that a change in the global block has an impact on the entire website.
The codebase is structured for developers who need to customize, extend, and maintain real projects. Key patterns are already defined, reducing inconsistency and avoiding the usual “we’ll fix it later” mess that somehow keeps civilization employed.

A word from the developer
This platform began as an internal rebuild of KindbergCo.se during a period when I was between assignments. The goal was to learn the new frameworks and create the best piece of code possible: fast, structured, editor-friendly, technically clean, WCAG-compliant and built with the lessons learned from many years of commercial web development.
Most client projects are shaped by real constraints. Time pressure makes developers resort to what is known and proven, as opposed to looking for the new and improved... budgets, deadlines, changing requirements, and the belief that everything can be “quickly added later” all influence the final result. That is simply how professional delivery works.
This project was different.
It gave me the rare opportunity to go beyond “good enough” and refine the parts that are usually difficult to justify in a normal project budget. Architecture. Performance. Accessibility. SEO. Editor experience. Reusable components. Maintainability. The small details that may not look dramatic in isolation, but make a serious difference over the lifetime of a website.
At the time of writing, more than 500 hours of development have gone into this platform. The result is a fast, polished, and highly structured Umbraco installation that is enjoyable to work with for both developers and content editors. Simply put, it is the best output that I have ever done in my life!
It powers my own website, with minimal deviation from what is included out of the box.
Seeing and experiencing the result, it made sense to make the platform available to others as well. Not as a generic theme, or as a mass-produced template... but as a professional starting point for organizations, agencies, and developers who want to begin an Umbraco project from a stronger place.
No technical debt, clean architecture, fast and secure system.. WCAG-accessibility is already implemented, search engines love it... simply a very good starting point for any project!
If you would like to see how it works, book a demo or technical walkthrough and I’ll be happy to show you what is included.
